Water hardness is a measure of the total level of calcium and magnesium bicarbonates in the water. Hard water is responsible for the lime scaling that builds up on water heater elements and tanks reducing their efficiency. Over time, lime scale build-up in plumbing can restrict the diameter of the pipes and cause a reduction in water pressure. Most people notice the signs of hard water as white spots on silverware and glassware or crusty white scaling around plumbing fixtures.

Dominion Water's metered water softener will remove damaging hardness minerals from your water providing you with all of the benefits of softened water. Not only will soft water extend the life of your water using appliances, but your laundry will be cleaner and brighter. Your skin and hair will be free of drying soap and mineral deposits. Soap consumption will also decrease by at least 50% because soft water makes soap more efficient so you'll use less. This unit will regenerate based on water consumption. The control valve is equiped with a battery backup to function in the event of a power system failure.

This unit includes a metered Fleck 6700 valve and bypass. The 10" x 54" tank contains 1 cubic foot of softener resin. The rectangular brine tank included with this unit is 15" x 17" x 36" and holds 200 lbs of salt.
