Dominion Water's
Aeration Systems offer two methods of aerating your water
to remove iron and rotten egg odor caused by hydrogen sulfide
gas. Each system is composed of an aerator tank with an air
release valve, a filter tank, and either a Mazzei injector or
an air compressor to provide air.
Well water that
contains low levels of ferrous (clear water) iron and little
or no sediment is best suited to aeration using the Mazzei
injector. For well water with moderate to high levels of
ferrous iron, and where sediment and oxidized (red water) iron
are also present, the Compressor Aeration System is
recommended. Both systems will effectively remove hydrogen
sulfide gas from well water.
MAZZEI INJECTOR
The Mazzei Injector is installed in a bypass assembly with an
adjustable, spring loaded flow control valve. Union fittings
permit injectors to be removed for easy servicing or
replacement.
AIR COMPRESSOR
Self-lubricating air pump - uses no oil. A quite and compact
source of air that is installed after the pressure tank.
